Positive Thinking.
Man's character, behavior pattern, his attitude, aspirations, achievements, all are true reflections of his thought process. It can be a healthy thought process or an unhealthy thought process. Unhealthy thought process is synonymous with negative thinking and healthy thought process is synonymous with positive thinking. It affects the whole personality of the person. It is only this mental attitude which enables one to achieve his goals in life. This mental attitude helps one to be firm and patient in any circumstances.
The most valuable lesson one learns in life is the importance of our thinking and the role it plays in our life. If we have happy thoughts, we will be happy. If we have had sad thoughts we will be depressed. If we have frightening thoughts, we will be scared. If we think ourselves to be unsuccessful, then we will be the same. Therefore, you are your own maker. You are what you make yourself to be by your thought process.
It is not that we can solve all our problems easily. The main criteria is to understand that there is a difference between a problem and a tension. We must have a positive attitude towards all our problems and only then can we live peaceful.
The famous poet Milton had said " There is only one mind; it converts hell into heaven and it converts its heaven into hell. This is easily seen in Napoleon's case who was such a powerful, enterprising and rich personality. He did not want any materialistic pleasure in life. He is said to have told St. Helena that he has not had even six days of happiness in his life. Just opposite to Napoleon is the blind and deaf Helen Keller who said that life was extremely precious to her, Napoleon's negative attitude has made his heaven into hell and Helen Keller's positive attitude had made her hell into heaven.
A person can attain peace in life only by himself. It has rightly been said that a man is not sad by any particular incident or event but by his thoughts that occur after that particular incident.
The first step to make the attitude positive is to start acting positive. If one is feeling sad, then he should start smiling and acting as if nothing is wrong. This acting will automatically become a reality after some time as the attitude will also change. For instance, there is the case of a man who was very ill. The doctors had told him that he would not live for many days. He started living in depression and as a result his family also became very sad and depressed. Then suddenly one day he realized that what he was doing was not right. He told himself that since he did not know when death would come, how could he behave in such a foolish manner. Death could take a year to come. Why not live happily as long as I am alive. Then he started smiling and acting as if nothing was wrong with him. He agreed that initially he had to make a lot of effort to look happy. Slowly this behaving or acting happy became a reality. He became normal. His disease also got cured.
If we can attain happiness (or a positive healthy attitude) just by acting happy then why are we making everyone around us unhappy? Why should we suffer from small ailment when happiness can cure just anything and save lives?
A man is capable of ruling the whole world. Instead of trying to rule the world, one must rule oneself. We must rule our thoughts, our mind and our emotions. We must attain power over everything by our behavior.
Modern psychology has proved that negative thought, our resistance power decreases simultaneously. Today the whole world is trying to fight pollution but as long as the pollution of the world, mind and heart is there, the external pollution cannot be gotten rid of. The external pollution gives birth to diseases. It increases the intensity of the diseases.
A slight negative doubt also becomes a reality. For example, a lady died of cancer in her stomach. Inspite of the doctor's reassurance that there was absolutely nothing wrong with her, she kept worrying about it. As a result, she got cancer in the same place.
According to modern science, each nerve has a mind and a memory. It records each thought slowly and manifests itself in the physical body.
It has also been proven by modern science that our breathing is directly connected with our mind. When we are breathing normally, then our mind is peaceful. When we are angry are breathing becomes abnormal and hence the whole area also affected. The mind is not at all peaceful abnormal breathing.
By a positive attitude people can be won easily. A person who says 'yes' is heartily accepted in a group rather than a person who says 'No'.
Let us make a list on how to make ourselves happy and positive. We must read this everyday in the morning.
1. I will be happy today. Lincoln has rightly said "A man's happiness is within himself, not in any place outside."
2. I will make myself adjust to the present or today's situation. I will not try to change another person according to my wishes. I will accept it.
3. I will protect my body. I will do exercises, look after my body and not misutilize it. I will give it full respect by staying calm under all circumstances. I will practice long and deep breathing so that my body will feel healthy and hence help me in progress.
4. I will make my heart pure by keeping good company and reading good books which will make my thought process active and positive.
5. I will do a good deed and I will try do at least two activities which I might not feel like doing.
6. I will behave well. I will be humble and look pleasant. I will praise others genuinely. I will not find fault with anybody and hurt their feelings.
7. I will try to solve only the present problems instead of worrying of the future.
8. I will make a program for each hour. I need to follow it but at least it will solve the problem of indecision.
9. I will set aside some time for myself and when I can do my religious activities like meditation, introspection etc.
10.I will be careful. I will be sure that those persons whom I care also care about me. I will have faith.Towards Ultimate Happiness.
Happiness has eluded us. What do we really mean by happiness? The dictionary defines the word 'happy' as "having, showing or causing a feeling of great pleasure, contentment, joy, etc. "When someone agree with you are happy. If someone agrees with you are happy. If someone disagrees with your viewpoint, you are unhappy. Thus happiness is a result of something you wanted, a craving that was gratified. If you had not and you would not have been unhappy. Thus, you need to adopt a mental attitude which is least likely to get your feeling hurt.
Someone hurts you badly and you refer to that person as your enemy. You will find that the person is hurting your feelings because you want him to behave in a particular way and he does not. Take a case where a person is rude and insults you. You wanted him to be polite, you were hurt, not by his behavior but by your expectations of him. Therefore, if you change your mental attitude no one can hurt you. If someone is rude, you must think of him as an unfortunate man who does not know how to behave properly. You should feel sorry for him and not annoyed. Take another case of a person who defames you in public. You are very annoyed. You must be silent. Your silence will be eloquent to witnesses. It will show your maturity and, in the slanderer a lack of discretion. Remember that when you are annoyed, you are hurting yourself. People will behave in a variety of ways. It is difficult to control their behavior. It is easier to control yourself and your mental attitude.Love Thy Enemy.
Another way to look at it is to "love thy enemy'. When someone abuses you, you want to retaliate. Refrain from doing so. You will be stronger for it. You will develop your will power and gain control over your emotions. This will develop your willpower and gain control over your emotions. This is not a weakness but strength. Imagine the reactions of a person who is trying to hurt you, when in return you show only love and helpfulness? We are here on this earth to perform our task and do our duty without hope of reward. A person who is irritating you might only be performing his task on this earth which may be to annoy and irritate you. He has been selected as the instrument whereby you are being punished for your sins. In this sense, your enemy is really helping you. If you stop hating others, you will be much happier. You will not fall ill as easily before.
Another way to control your hatred is to think that the object of your hatred may be in a different and a lower plane of evolution. This, however, should not inflate your ego. You should remember that at one time you were also like him at the lower level.Planning Future Happiness.
In addition to looking after you health and adopting the right mental attitude, you must remember that you have to suffer your past karma. If calamity comes, accept it. Think constructively and do not brood. This will only hurt you more.Change Your Karma.
Questions as why one person is a king and another a beggar, one a genius and another a fool, can only explained through the doctrine of Karma. Do not mistake this for fatalism. You can overcome your unfavorable destiny. When your efforts in this life are good, there is a conflict between the effect of the past bad efforts and the present good ones. It is merely a question of which will override the other. Thus the doctrine of Karma should set you on the path of doing the right things with a view to improve your own condition. If anything goes wrong, do not blame others. Blame yourself alone. Charge your Karma through virtuous actions as well as honest thoughts and words which do not hurt others.Communicate Happiness.
You can develop the power of giving joy and happiness to others by showing friendliness towards the happy, compassion towards the unhappy and delight in the virtuous. Never hurt others, for you will only hurt yourself. If you remove violence from your thoughts, you will create around yourself a pleasant atmosphere and people will find it a joy to be with you. In turn you will also be happy. If you communicate happiness, it will be returned to you. Remember that every action produces a reaction. If you bang your fist against the wall, you hurt your own knuckles.Love For Humanity

Everything boils down to the power of the mind. If you want to be happy we must develop the right frame of mind. The body and the mind are very firmly inter linked with one another and many illnesses having physical symptoms are really caused by mental disturbances. To rid ourselves of such illnesses it becomes necessary to work on the mind and not on the body. this can be done by (i) meditation, to remove the imbalance and (ii) by creating the right mental attitude for our future.Use Auto-suggestion
You can build the character you want. It is purely a question of 'willing' it. Through the use of will power on your subconscious, you can develop the characteristics you desire. Think positively. Do not imagine that you cannot do certain things. If you do so, you will never be able to do those things.

Ha says 'I can and I will'. This method is similar to autosuggestion. You must have a strong desire before you succeed with this technique. You can give up anything 'if you want'. These basic principles of cleansing and energizing are also clearly manifested in the body. The body is cleansed by exhaling used up carbon dioxide and is energized by inhaling fresh air of oxygen. Cleansing is necessary in order to facilitate the absorption of prana or Ki by the affected part. In simple cases, cleansing the bioplasmic body or the affected part is usually sufficient to heal the patient. In other cases, the diseased bioplasmic part is so depleted that the healer has to facilitate the healing process by energizing with prana.
There are two very important chakras located at the centre of each palm. These are the left hand chakra and the right hand chakra. although they are minor chakras, they have very important functions in pranic healing. It is through the hand chakras that prana is absorbed from he surroundings and the projected to the patient. There is a mini chakra in each finger. These chakras rae also capable of absorbing and projecting prana. These finger chakras project more intense and strength prana than the hand chakras.There are seven basic techniques in elementary pranic healing
Sensitizing the Hands. Scanning. Sweeping. Increasing the receptivity of the patient. Energizing with prana. Stabilizing the projected prana. Releasing the projected pranic energy. Sensitizing the Hands.
Place your hands about three inches apart facing each other. Concentrate on feeling the centres of your palms. It is by this that hand chakras are activated, thereby sensitizing the hands. A tingling sensation, heat, pressure or rhythmic pubation will be felt between the palms.
Scanning.
While scanning with your hands, always concentrate at the centres of your palms. When you feel a tingling sensation, you will know that it is the outer aura of your subject. Scan the subject from head to foot and front to back for the inner aura. In scanning your patient, you will notice that there are hollows or protrusions in some areas of the patients inner aura. When the area protrudes, it means there is pranic congestion. The physical condition of the patient should be carefully observed and the patient should be thoroughly questioned or interviewed before jumping to any conclusion.Sweeping.
Sweeping is generally a cleansing technique. It can also be used for energizing and distributing excess prana. When cleansing is done on whole bioplasmic body, it is called general sweeping. Cleansing is done on specific parts of the body, it is called localized sweeping.The hands are used in sweeping. There are two positions- cupped hand position and spread finger position. These two hand position are used alternately. The cupped hand positions more effective in removing the bioplasmic matter while the spread finger position is more effective in combing and disentangling the health rays.
Sweeping removes congested and diseased bioplasmic matter. It strengthens the health rays. It increases one's resistance against infection. It seals holes in the outer aura thus preventing prana to leak out. Many simple illness can be healed by just sweeping.Increasing the receptivity of the patient.
Healing is a lot easier if the patient is relaxed and receptive. A relaxed patient will absorb more pranic energy. It is advisable to establish rapport with the patient to reduce resistance. Request the patient to assume the receptive pose during the treatment. Ask him to sit with palms upwards and bend his head slightly downward. Ask the patient to close his eyes. You can ask the patient to visualize his body and the affected part being filled with light and pranic energy, or that he is inhaling light and pranic energy into his body and the affected part. This will greatly facilitate the rate of assimilation of pranic energy.<Energizing with prana.
Hand chakras technique. There are many ways of drawing in prana and projecting prana- one of the safest and easiest ways is through the hand chakras. Press the centre of your palms with your thumb for a few seconds to facilitate your concentration. Concentrate at the centre of your palm that will be used for drawing in pranic energy for about 14 minutes. Simultaneously concentrate at the centre of both palms. Many of you will feel some sort of energy or current after several minutes.Stabilizing the projected prana.
The projected prana can be stabilized in two ways-(i) by finishing or energizing with prana and(ii) by projecting blue prana. This is done by visualizing and projecting light blue on the treated part, or by mentally instructing the projected prana to remain or stabilize.<Releasing the projected pranic energy.
A healer will notice that it is relatively easier to be detached when healing strangers than when healing one's own children. This attachment is seen as an energy cord (cord of light) linking the healer to the patient. Because of this cord, there is a tendency that the projected prana may return back to the healers. To avoid this, the healer should visualize himself cutting the said 'cord of light' with a pair of 'imaginary' scissors or knife. Also it is better not to think bout the patient immediately after the treatment because the etheric link might be re-established.
A healer should not heal when he is sick or suffering from general weakness. This is to avoid the transference of diseased bioplasmic matter or energy to the patient. A healer should not heal when he is feeling angry or irritated, because the projected pranic energy will be contaminated with anger and other negative emotions. This may cause the patient to become worse.
